Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Manchester, this position will be based wholly on-site, due to the secure nature of the role we are unable to offer hybrid working
What you’ll be doing
- Developing, deploying and supporting infrastructure services across secure environments.
- Supporting the operation, maintenance and optimisation of multi-vendor infrastructure platforms.
- Creating scripts and automation solutions to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to maintain service availability and performance.
- Supporting engineering project delivery and platform improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to the implementation of security controls and governance processes.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable services.
Your skills and experiences
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of VMware virtualisation technologies.
- Understanding of networking technologies, including Cisco and Aruba platforms.
- Experience with VDI, storage and backup technologies.
- Scripting and automation experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of cyber security principles and secure system operations.
- Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
