The role holder: |
|||
As Junior Business Partner, you will be a key member of the International Finance team supporting Connect, Products and Propositions, driving the performance of the respective business areas and delivery of budget and IBP targets. This role requires a particular emphasis on business partnering as Connect focuses on profitable growth and delivery of key programmes, whilst products focuses on investment delivery, managing manufacturing risks and controlling stock levels and Propositions focuses on business case development and managing investment outcomes. The role covers Connect business area which equate to roughly £15m annual revenue, across approximately 70 projects with 10+ different customers via multiple different commercial mechanisms. In Products the role covers the product, propositions and manufacturing strategy, management and investment which has overheads of approximately £4m and investment of approximately £4m. The role will be based from our Guildford or Gloucester offices, working on a hybrid basis with attendance at the office a couple of times per month in line with business requirements. Core Duties |

• Support to Connect and Products/Propositions leadership teams responsible for the business operation and performance and delivery of budget and IBP targets. • Provide strong financial business partnering in the form of guidance, advice, decision support and challenge to optimise the financial performance of each business area and maximise return on investments. • Effectively share external perspectives and good practice to help deliver measurable improvements in the approach to decision making, value for money and risk management. • Attendance at monthly product reviews, challenging resourcing and stock management. • Manage the product and manufacturing business ensuring inventory levels are appropriate and manufacturing risks are dealt with appropriately. • Shape and approve Connect bids for new business in line with strategy, optimising chances of winning whilst also ensuring business deliverability. • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the regional leadership teams and the wider business. • Consider risks and opportunities, taking a calculated risk based approach to business performance to ensure opportunities can be captured. • Shape and support business cases for Products and Propositions • Ensure a robust control framework is being operated at a project and portfolio level in compliance with financial policies and Digital Intelligence processes |
