Role Profile
In this role you will be a full-time, valued employee of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, receiving a full, competitive salary while undertaking a Degree Apprenticeship in Embedded Electronic Systems Design and Development. You will undertake the BEng degree at the University of Essex, in a traditional university environment and then work with our engineering teams, in Great Baddow, during your vacation periods.
This is an opportunity to design and develop state of the art software, firmware or electronics, working with bright, enthusiastic and committed people in one of our small client-focussed engineering teams.
You will scope, plan and deliver work to agreed timescales for customer problems. This is a chance to develop innovative solutions, have responsibility and hands on experience in exciting, cutting-edge work from day 1.

We are seeking ambitious and enthusiastic individuals who possess a combination of qualifications and qualities that align with our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in STEM subjects and be qualified to a college level (A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications). Furthermore, a keen interest or prior experience in space-related subjects is highly valued. In addition to the candidate’s academic skills, we are looking for candidates who have a natural ability for problem-solving and a desire to expand their knowledge, especially in the field of electronic technology. Given the nature of our work, the ability to multitask and remain organised in a fast-paced environment is essential. Effective teamwork and collaboration skills are key, as you will be an important part of a diverse and dedicated team. Entry Requirements
• A Level: ABB (Including Maths) or BTEC National Diploma DDM
• 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C / Level 4-9, including Mathematics and English Language
Security Clearance
Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position within BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
